About this sound
In Type 08 of the The Dying collection, a woman's breath turns rough and rasping while she struggles heavily against the end. Over roughly ten seconds the sounds lose their strength until they stop. The processed recording gives it a dark, unsettling texture that suits horror without tipping into gore. Use it for a death in a horror game, a final breath in a short film, or a turning point in a horror podcast or audio drama. All dying sounds are grouped into types of similar ways to die, so Type 08 can carry one character from start to end. Download it and give the scene its final breath.
