About this sound
Three slow, deliberate exhales hang in the air like a cold breath on the back of your neck. Each exhale carries a raspy, hollow quality that suggests a presence caught between the living world and whatever lies beyond. The sound builds a creeping dread without a single word spoken, making it ideal for a ghost encounter in a horror game, a haunted corridor in a short film, or the eerie opening of a paranormal podcast episode. Pair it with a dark ambience track to deepen the atmosphere, or drop it as a subtle audio cue just before a jump scare to prime your audience's nerves. Halloween content creators will find it instantly recognizable as the breath of something that should not still be breathing. Download it now and let the silence between each exhale do the haunting.
