About this sound
From the darkness comes a sound that stops you cold: a slow, raspy breath exhaled by a ghostly female presence, hollow and weightless yet impossibly heavy with menace. The texture sits somewhere between a dying gasp and a supernatural exhalation, suggesting a spirit caught between worlds and unwilling to let go. Drop it into a horror game corridor to signal an unseen ghost lurking just out of frame, or layer it beneath a paranormal podcast intro to raise the hairs on your listeners' necks. Filmmakers will find it equally at home under a haunted house reveal, a jump scare build-up, or a dark fantasy cutscene where the veil between the living and the dead grows thin. Halloween content creators and TikTok horror editors can use it to transform any clip into something genuinely unsettling. Download this royalty-free ghost breath and let the silence around it do the rest.
